Since 1998, Huatulco has been protected by the Huatulco Bays National Park (approximately 20,000 hectares), so some activities are regulated.
Huatulco has 35 beaches spread across 9 bays. Each beach has its own unique charm, and all are surrounded by natural environments.
The Huatulco Bays are: Cacaluta, Chahue, Tangolunda, Conejos, Santa Cruz, Chachacual, Riscalillo, San Agustín, Organo, and Maguey.
