To travel by bus from Puerto Escondido, Huatulco, or the city of Oaxaca, you must first get to Pochutla (where different roads converge). The sea is strong with large waves, ideal for surfing, but dangerous for swimming. The sun is intense throughout most of the year.

Zipolite is an official nudist beach, although it is not mandatory to bathe without clothes.
